# ControlCom Connect for iOS

The ControlCom Connect app for iPhone shows your Organization's sites, alarms, dashboards and diagrams on your phone and lets you act on an alarm from wherever you are. It signs in to the same account as the web app and reads the same data. Nothing is configured in the app itself: dashboards, diagrams, alarm groups and log sheets are created in ControlCom Connect on the web and appear on the phone.

## Getting the App

Install **ControlCom Connect** from the App Store and sign in with the email and password you use for the web app.

*Sign in with your ControlCom Connect email and password*

The app has five tabs along the bottom: **Home**, **Sites**, **Views**, **Events** and **More**. If you belong to more than one Organization, tap the Organization name at the top of the Overview to switch; the whole app follows.

When the app first asks, allow notifications. Alarm notifications then reach your phone, and tapping one opens the event so you can acknowledge or assign it.

## Overview

The **Home** tab is the Overview: the state of the Organization on one screen.

*The Overview: Ask Bob, recommendations, the four tiles and the alarms that need attention*

* **Ask Bob** opens the assistant with a suggested question.
* **View your recommendations** appears when something is worth fixing, such as alarm groups that are not notifying you.
* Four tiles: **Devices online**, **Sites in alarm**, **Active alarms** by severity and **Events** in the last 24 hours.
* **Needs attention** lists the active alarms with their site and asset; **Recent activity** lists what happened lately. Tap a row to open the event.

## Sites

The **Sites** tab is a map of your Locations. A site in alarm is marked with a red warning triangle, a healthy one with a green pin. The list button at the top opens the site list, searchable by name or city, and the bell opens **Alarms**, the Locations with active alarms. Tap a site to open it, then drill into its assets and each asset's variables, with the latest value, relationships and history for each.

The app asks for your location so the map can show the sites near you.

## Events

The **Events** tab is Alarm History on the phone, with the badge on the tab showing how many alarms are active.

![The Events screen: the Active tab listing four alarms with severity dots, assignees and times, and a Recent events section below](https://documentation.controlcomtech.com/images/mobile/app-store/events.png)

*The Events tab: active alarms above, recent reported events below*

* **Active** lists every triggered alarm with its severity dot, site and asset, who it is assigned to, a check mark once it is acknowledged, and the time. **History** shows alarms and events for a date range.
* The filter button narrows the list by alarm group, site or date range.
* **Recent events** below the alarms holds power quality and other reported events from the last 7 days, with **See all** for the rest.

Open an alarm to act on it.

![An open alarm: the What happened card with the measured value and threshold, an Acknowledge button, the assigned user with a Reassign button, and notes](https://documentation.controlcomtech.com/images/mobile/app-store/event-detail.png)

*An open alarm: what happened, acknowledge, reassign and notes*

* **What happened** states the value that was measured and the threshold it crossed.
* **Acknowledge** confirms you have seen the event.
* **Assigned to** shows who owns it; **Reassign** hands it to someone else, who is notified.
* **Notes** keeps the operator notes on the event, so the next person has context. Add one from the field at the top.

The **Event Detail** screen behind an alarm holds its details, the event timeline, occurrence counts for the month, the year and the lifetime of the alarm, and the notifications sent for it.

## Views

The **Views** tab lists the Organization's **Dashboards** and **Diagrams**, with a search field and a filter button on each list. Both are the ones built in the web app.

*A dashboard on the phone: the widgets stack in one column*

A dashboard's widgets stack in one column. A diagram opens full screen, in portrait or landscape, with its live values, and the **X** in the corner closes it.

## Ask Bob

**Ask Bob** on the Overview opens the [AI Assistant](https://documentation.controlcomtech.com/platform/ai-assistant). Pick one of the suggested questions or type your own in the **Ask Bob** field; the microphone button dictates a question instead of typing it. The history button at the top lists your earlier conversations. The first time you open Bob, the app shows its AI limitations, confidential data and third-party processing notices, which you acknowledge once.

## More

The **More** tab holds the rest.

* **Operations → Rounds**: the log sheets created in the web app. Open one to record its readings, add notes and attach photos from the camera or your photo library.
* **Reports → Power Quality Events**: the events your Revenue Grade Meters captured, searchable by meter, asset or file, the same list as [Power Quality Events](https://documentation.controlcomtech.com/platform/reports/power-quality) on the web.
* **Reports → Generator Compliance** and **Generator Event Reports** appear when your role has the matching report permission.

## Settings

The profile button at the top of the Overview opens the settings: **Profile**, **Security**, **Appearance** and **About**. When you sign in on a phone with Face ID, the app offers to turn on **Face ID Login**, so the next sign-in needs no password; **Security** shows whether it is on and is where you turn it off. **Appearance** switches the app between **Automatic** (following iOS), **Light** and **Dark**.
